The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Antoni Dembkowski hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 15th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Sticlaru in the 17th minute of the match. Felipe Barreto struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Wilson Amorim in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes in the game, Shi Li dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience was convinced that Shi Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 32nd play minute Shi Li came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wilson Amorim. 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, Caetano Moreira notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare. Octavian Soare was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 37 minutes, Shi Li made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Ştefan Sticlaru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 4-2 in the 41 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 57th minute of play. Viriato Moura in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Octavian Soare, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66thth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Octavian Soare in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
