In the 3rd minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aranda in the 5th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Protegéerna's Ossi Eloranta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Santiago Sartori, made in the 7th minute of the game. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Python, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Python, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. Adria Bielsa scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingemar Åberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Python in the 21st minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Santiago Sartori threw the ball into play from the sideline. Protegéerna's Paolo-César Maldini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Python in the 57th minute of play. Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Toledo came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ingemar Åberg could save by the left post. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. The Protegéerna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Spain were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
