In the 16thth minute of the game Arturo Castronovo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmondo Ciraci kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maxime Durand. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. After 22 played minutes, Veritas's Carlo Colangelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maxime Durand came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Veritas reached it. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. Aldo Crisantemo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Peletier in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Peletier in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Crisantemo saved Veritas from getting behind. France's David Barbier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aldo Crisantemo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Frank Peletier struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Aldo Crisantemo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Arturo Castronovo put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Maxime Durand.

Frank Peletier's late challenge caught a Veritas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Peletier helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Peletier kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Arturo Castronovo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Veritas got a corner. France's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
