GOLD ARMY 1923
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Gold Army 1923 got a freekick which was hit by Semail Gökdoğan. Gold Army 1923's Peter Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 12th minute of play. Peter Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 13th minute of play. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peter Schmeichel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 22nd minute of the match, Hasan Ali Suel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Casper Claes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Hasan Ali Suel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gold Army 1923! In the 42nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hasan Ali Suel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Schmeichel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Floris Claeys threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gold Army 1923's Ahmet Göktuğ Masum quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 55th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten made a precise shot to the right of Peter Schmeichel. Gold Army 1923's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Peter Schmeichel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Peter Schmeichel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gold Army 1923 were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joaquin Ledesma took the corner. The corner led Gold Army 1923's Joaquin Ledesma to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Gold Army 1923's Peter Schmeichel got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Schmeichel made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Peter Schmeichel came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Peter Schmeichel in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gold Army 1923's Peter Schmeichel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Peter Schmeichel 87 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Peter Schmeichel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Schmeichel came out and tried to block the shot, but Edward Vanderstraeten slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 93rd minute. Peter Schmeichel made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Belgium played a much better game than Gold Army 1923 and deserved their victory. The Gold Army 1923 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
