Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boguslaw Maurycy. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartosz Gad in the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 51 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szymon Maziarski in the 63rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boguslaw Maurycy having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Boguslaw Maurycy came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Boguslaw Maurycy firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
