Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Mergenthaler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bruno Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corumbaense F.C.'s Bruno Cordeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Albin Holweck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruno Cordeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes in the game, Frank Sachs dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio da Silva in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio da Silva in the 28th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After the first half Germany were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bruno Cordeiro was a little too slow when Frank Sachs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. After 66 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Corumbaense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anísio Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Bruno Cordeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 83rd minute. After 90 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. The Germany supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Germany would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
