After 43 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Etxepare to strike the kick off in the second half. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. When Ma Chao Yong came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Olympique Salonais fans jumped to their feet. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Song Peng Xi in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. In the 90th minute Song Peng Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Chale in the 91st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Peng Xi in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Marc Chiquet hit a great ball.
