Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Nalo in the 14th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Emander. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Thomas Lövkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Salvatore came out of the goal and Thomas Lövkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Strömsbro IF's Hannes Larsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Salvatore. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Lövkvist in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Salvatore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Strömsbro IF fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Strömsbro IF's Thomas Lövkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Melquiades Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Librado in the 39th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Hannes Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Lövkvist in the 64th minute of play. Melquiades Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Huly didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Thomas Lövkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Salvatore was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the game, Hannes Larsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0.
