Melquiades Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Kristiansson in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Atlanta defense, Börge Kristiansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. After having played for 55 minutes, Börge Kristiansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strömsbro IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börge Kristiansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Kristiansson in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börge Kristiansson got free with Melquiades Salvatore in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 63 in the game by Börge Kristiansson from a close distance when the talented Melquiades Salvatore managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético Atlanta's players were relieved.
