With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Auer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kazimierz Maciejewskis short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Fabio Auer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute, Tytus Borowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Auer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Błękitny Grom's Andrzej Tychy got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Błękitny Grom's Miroslaw Sidorowicz in the 26th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Fabio Auer was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Austria through an amazing save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klement Jekot got free with Fabio Auer in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonhard Maier kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Tytus Borowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Tytus Borowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kazimierz Maciejewski in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabio Auer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 64th minute, Fabio Schneider reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antoni Sochacki. The goal made the score 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, Fabio Schneider dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antoni Sochacki, 1-3. If Marvin Harrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Błękitny Grom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Zawada to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Galishoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Antoni Sochacki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslaw Sidorowicz in the 86th minute of play. Fabio Auer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslaw Sidorowicz's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Sidorowicz in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Austria eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
