With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe Catarinense in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Januário Domingos in the 19th minute. The supporters of AD Pontassolense booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szekeres Tamas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Catarinense in the 29th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Hungary's Takacs Tibor to fire away a dangerous shot which Gentil Macieira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 34 minutes AD Pontassolense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gentil Macieira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 38 minutes into the game, Major Barna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gentil Macieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Balazs Lajos hit a great ball. Reine Dahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gentil Macieira having to interfere. Bakos Endre kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 61 in the game by Antal Valentin from a close distance when the talented Gentil Macieira managed to make a qualified save. AD Pontassolense's players were relieved. Januário Domingos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Rene Payueta. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gentil Macieira could save by the left post. When Hegedus Henrik came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hegedus Henrik couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Madruga came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hungary booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gentil Macieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Gentil Macieira in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 minutes, Januário Domingos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Pontassolense and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gentil Macieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 95th minute. The supporters of Hungary booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reine Dahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
