Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 5th minute of play forced union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Enrique Enoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Malmgren in the 12th minute of play. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Stig Malmgren sent off a good shot on target. Adelino Nordon made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zenaido Vigil immediately put the ball in play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. union española s.a.'s Enrique Enoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Zenaido Vigil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 38 minutes union española s.a.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 40th minute, Romulo Bilbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig Malmgren to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Enoch. union española s.a.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, union española s.a.'s Enrique Enoch got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. union española s.a.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Enoch, making the score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a free kick in the 60th minute. Stig Malmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Malmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Malmgren in the 62nd minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Enrique Enoch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. Lars Meesters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Enrique Enoch made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Enrique Enoch made a huge save. Enrique Enoch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 72nd minute. Enrique Enoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Enoch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Enoch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after union española s.a.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrique Enoch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Enrique Enoch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Enrique Enoch made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than union española s.a. throughout the match.
