Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Pablo-Enrique Lopez sent off a good shot on target. Sperides's Jenni Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of play. Isaac Carballido lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 31 played minutes Sperides got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Carballido. In the 32nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jenni Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucero Mezquita in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Lucero Mezquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jenni Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucero Mezquita in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Gonzáles to make the kick off. Jenni Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jenni Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Gonzáles came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Gonzáles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sperides made a substitution. Polifemo Morales replaced Fortun Roca. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Jenni Martinez in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jenni Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
