An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Almeida in the 26th minute of play forced KKS Legia Deptaka's goalkeeper Dominik Pachucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Viriato Moura had to leave the field with a concussion. 28 minutes into the game, Walery Dytrych was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KKS Legia Deptaka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. In the 40th minute Gustavo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Pachucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominik Pachucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 42nd minute of play. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after KKS Legia Deptaka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Barreto took the corner. Portugal's Fabricio Andrade was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dominik Pachucki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
