Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Gilberto Gai. But to his dismay, Gilberto Gai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by FusbalClub Swietochlowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Gilberto Gai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norbert Grondzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. Norbert Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of play. Roch Bilicki took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Grondzki having to interfere. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Daniel Owsiak scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 3-0. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Gilberto Gai sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Gai in the 39th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Owsiak came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Gilberto Gai took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. Gilberto Gais short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 51st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes, Wim Wilmes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the FusbalClub Swietochlowice players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, FusbalClub Swietochlowice's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Norbert Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Grondzki having to interfere. FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Herbert Ziombkowski was substituted for Loid Engelboorgs. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Bilicki in the 68th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 69th minute of play forced FusbalClub Swietochlowice's goalkeeper Norbert Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Norbert Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th minute of play forced FusbalClub Swietochlowice's goalkeeper Norbert Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Grondzki made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Bilicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Bilicki in the 79th minute of play. Norbert Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the FusbalClub Swietochlowice defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norbert Grondzki. The FusbalClub Swietochlowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Grondzki should have stopped the shot. FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Cyprian Cholewa was substituted for Daniel Owsiak. In the 86th minute, Netherlands's Lars Meesters ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norbert Grondzki. Norbert Grondzki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Cyprian Cholewa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
