After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Paulistano - DMZ's João Augusto de Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.C. Paulistano - DMZ reached it. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A.C. Paulistano - DMZ.
