In the 3rd match minute, Flock of Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joacim Jonsson to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bertram Svenningsen. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Sabin Mergea scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 1-0. The throw-in from Osvald Backlund in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. The supporters of Denmark booed when Flock of Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Kvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Pilblad saved Flock of Eagles from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Denmark's Chris Nygaard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tobias Pilblad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Mergea in the 33rd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Joacim Jonsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. Sabin Mergea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Flock of Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Joacim Jonsson. Tobias Pilblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. Tobias Pilblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Flock of Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Joacim Jonsson. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Tobias Pilblad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bertram Svenningsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Pilblad having to make a save. The Denmark fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Denmark's Chris Nygaard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Olle Sigman scored 4-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Tobias Pilblad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. 78 minutes into the game, Joacim Jonsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 86 minutes of play Flock of Eagles's Joacim Jonsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. Sabin Mergea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Keld Paulsen. Denmark's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
