If Joacim Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Mergea in the 25th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabin Mergea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Hias Nüssli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Timo Siegmund kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Sigman came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Joacim Jonsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flock of Eagles and the Switzerland players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Flock of Eagles getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Joacim Jonsson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Mergea in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Vilhelm Kvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilhelm Kvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Samuele Kunz made the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Maurer kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Flock of Eagles's Vilhelm Kvist got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo von Känel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Vilhelm Kvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Mergea in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Flock of Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Billström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Pilblad acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Samuele Kunz. In the 76th minute, Sabin Mergea made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Flock of Eagles made a substitution. Christoffer Kock replaced Olle Sigman. Rodrigo von Känel was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Vilhelm Kvist came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Flock of Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Kvist couldn't finish the play. When Jacinto Maurer fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Jacinto Maurer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Flock of Eagles booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Maurer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Flock of Eagles's Vilhelm Kvist made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hias Nüssli was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Sabin Mergea came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Flock of Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabin Mergea couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Christoffer Kock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
