Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Toxeiro in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nevada Etxeberria. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of play forced ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goalkeeper Saturnino Nieto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goalie prevented a goal. Saturnino Nieto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Toxeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute Ramón Huguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Pujol to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Nieto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Lucio Toxeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Saturnino Nieto made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nevada Etxeberria came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Tello Lopez was substituted for Ramón Huguet. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tello Lopez was slow to take the kick. During this time ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's players had a chance to rest. Nevada Etxeberria took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 95th minute of the match ALPUJARRAS LIBRE got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tello Lopez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Netherlands's goalie and right to Lauren Verges. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Netherlands's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The ALPUJARRAS LIBRE support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
