Caetano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Daniel Abeitia came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Los Delfines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Abeitia couldn't finish the play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Graciano Coutinho hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Wilson Amorim was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Abeitia. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Abeitia in the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Artizar got free with Wilson Amorim in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ubaldo Norino struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Delfines. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Ciriaco Selmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Ciriaco Selmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Los Delfines's Ezequiel Artizar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ubaldo Norino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Dino Saurio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Delfines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Matías Patrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ubaldo Norino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Delfines made a substitution. Los Delfines's Victor Jerrold was substituted for Ubaldo Norino. 73 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías Patrone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Lucas Urbez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The supporters of Portugal booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Dani Cáceres got a free kick in the 85th minute. Matías Patrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 94th minute, Rodolfo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Delfines's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
