Ken Halliday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Armstrong having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Brown Jackson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thorbjörn Olerius. After a rather tough play, ManagerZone Crew's Andreas Spante got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Thorsten Dietz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ManagerZone Crew's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tynemouth Wanderers the free kick. Patrick Armstrong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes Welch in the 31st minute of play. Thorbjörn Olerius struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Brown Jackson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ManagerZone Crew. Peter Linkhorst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Brown Jackson made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Peter Linkhorst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brown Jackson was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game.
