Fabio Auer came out and tried to block the shot, but Turabi Özver slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 17th minute. Turabi Özver struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denizli United. An unexpectedly hard shot by Namık Kemal Taylan in the 31st minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leonhard Maier hit a great ball. If Jonas Nalder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Turabi Özver to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marvin Harrer during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Marvin Harrer. In the 55th minute, Turabi Özver made a precise shot to the right of Fabio Auer. Namık Kemal Taylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Auer having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Schneider during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute Turabi Özver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turabi Özver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Yusuf Atılay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Denizli United fully deserved thier win.
