The crowd rose to their feet as Hasan Hüseyin Ceylan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zacarías Encina. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Hasan Hüseyin Ceylan in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zacarías Encina, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 14 minutes into the match, Gebze FK's goal looked a bit too open when Musko Clemente came free, but Halil Süngü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Doğan Uyguner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Escaloneta77's Zacarías Encina did a great save. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Escaloneta77's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Doğan Uyguner was slow to take the kick. During this time Gebze FK's players had a chance to rest. Lucas Bernal hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Escaloneta77's Zacarías Encina got control of the ball when Hasan Hüseyin Ceylan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zacarías Encina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hüsrev Uysal's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Gabriel Llinares hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Escaloneta77 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristeo Quintanilla to maneuver through the defense. Gebze FK's Hüsrev Uysal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Aurre Beloki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halil Süngü was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Halil Süngü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Goyanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Hüsrev Uysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarías Encina having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurre Beloki to make the kick off. With a little luck, Gebze FK's Halil Süngü got control of the ball when Musko Clemente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hüsrev Uysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarías Encina having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Hüsrev Uysal made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Escaloneta77's Zacarías Encina tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Hüsrev Uysal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarías Encina was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Aurre Beloki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Aurre Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escaloneta77's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurre Beloki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halil Süngü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hasan Hüseyin Ceylan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zacarías Encina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gebze FK's zone, Aurre Beloki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halil Süngü came out of the goal and Aurre Beloki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halil Süngü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurre Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Escaloneta77 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gebze FK.
