Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wim Van Meerbek started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Wim Van Meerbek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickael Omblets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ernesto Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Gielis having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Sunchal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Amor to maneuver through the defense. Mickael Omblets struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ernesto Jerrald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winksele. Mickael Omblets in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto Jerrald, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wim Van Meerbek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ernesto Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Sunchal's Oscar Basualdo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernd Gielis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A hard shot by Cesar Vincx from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Ernesto Jerrald's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Winksele's zone, Jorge Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernd Gielis came out of the goal and Jorge Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernd Gielis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Gitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Bernd Gielis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Basualdo in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickael Omblets in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Jerrald saved Sunchal from getting behind. When Leandro Maore fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunchal's protests and gave Leandro Maore a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Sunchal got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Maore. In the 61st minute of the match Serge Roosendael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Jerrald showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Winksele's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Basualdo came free, but Bernd Gielis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Gitano got free with Bernd Gielis in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Wim Van Meerbek came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Winksele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Van Meerbek couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Winksele's Mickael Omblets nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Jerrald made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jorge Gitano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Bernd Gielis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bernd Gielis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Gitano went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Mickael Omblets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Jerrald was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Wim Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mickael Omblets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Jerrald having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play Sunchal's Leandro Maore was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Winksele booed when Sunchal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickael Omblets in the 94th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Ernesto Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sunchal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
