In the 6th minute of the match, Gentil Setúbal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petr Čech saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gentil Setúbal in the 10th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute Thiago Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Terceirense F.C.'s Gentil Setúbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petr Čech narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gentil Setúbal in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, SCs StarS's Thiago Gol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gentil Setúbal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gentil Setúbal in the 43rd minute of the match. Thiago Gol scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

SCs StarS made a substitution. Henk Zijden replaced Edgar Reitsema. The wind increased when Thiago Gol made the kick off in the second half. Cássio Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Gol in the 59th minute of the match. Aleksander Kapera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Petr Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordy Dirks in the 64th minute of play. Gentil Setúbal's late challenge caught a SCs StarS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gentil Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Terceirense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gentil Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Terceirense F.C. made a substitution. Fabien Raillard replaced Artur Barroso. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentil Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Hekman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henk Zijden charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 74 played minutes SCs StarS got a freekick which was hit by Henk Zijden. 75 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Gentil Setúbal came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Terceirense F.C. got a corner. SCs StarS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armando Parente ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Armando Parente almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech did a great save. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentil Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd play minute Jordy Dirks came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cássio Baptista. 0-3. Thiago Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Cássio Baptista made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zarco Sarmento during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Terceirense F.C. getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Zarco Sarmento hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Cássio Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jordy Dirks. In the 93rd match minute, Terceirense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gentil Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SCs StarS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
