Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michal Lagiewniki in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Dincă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vörös Henrik made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s Ovidiu Dincă managed to reach the ball for a save.
