Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Chris Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sílvio Dantas's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mitnarotov FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sílvio Dantas hit a great ball. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Mitnarotov FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. After having played for 17 minutes, Usain Bolt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mitnarotov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Usain Bolt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitnarotov FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Sílvio Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mitnarotov FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdomiro Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After the first half Denmark were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Usain Bolt was the one to do the kick off. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Usain Bolt in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Usain Bolt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Olav Graversen got a free kick in the 70th minute. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Almir Miranda came out and tried to block the shot, but Chris Nygaard slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 72nd minute. Chris Nygaard kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Almir Miranda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Almir Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Christiano Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Almir Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Chris Nygaard. Germano Siqueira hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Sílvio Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 94 minutes of play Mitnarotov FC's Germano Siqueira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 minutes, Christiano Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mitnarotov FC and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christiano Valladares hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
