Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Leszek Cupial charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leszek Cupial the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omar Toledo in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Axisa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Spain's Omar Toledo in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sliema Dragons FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute David Aranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Santiago Sartori threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sliema Dragons FC's 周斐俊 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Spain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leszek Cupial took the corner. After 26 minutes of play, Spain's Omar Toledo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mike Axisa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Omar Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mike Axisa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Cubero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike Axisa having to make a save. Spain's David Aranda got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Sartori hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Spain were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kim Bolas to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Toledo. 57 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bolas came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Axisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 62nd minute of play. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Gábor Illés replaced 周斐俊. Spain made a substitution. Carles Cherro replaced Omar Toledo. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dejan Cassar in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leszek Cupial to maneuver through the defense. Carles Cherros short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Mike Axisa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adria Bielsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Axisa having to interfere. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dejan Cassar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Merino made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sliema Dragons FC's Timmy Vallengren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Ruiz in the 88th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Dejan Cassar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sliema Dragons FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
