Erdinç Yalgın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erdinç Yalgın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Mans's Su Xiang Lin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute of play forced Mans's goalkeeper Erdinç Yalgın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Erdinç Yalgın successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 55 minutes, Demetrio Di Biagio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrio Di Biagio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erdinç Yalgın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Erdinç Yalgın when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erdinç Yalgın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 65th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Erdinç Yalgın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Su Xiang Lin couldn't finish the play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Su Xiang Lin in the 75th minute of play. Erdinç Yalgın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Mans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Cosme to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erdinç Yalgın was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 83rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Mans's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Erdinç Yalgın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mans booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
