An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Galishoff in the 3rd minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Fabio Schneider cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Flavio Peter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Marc Kronecker fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Marc Kronecker a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Marc Kronecker. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Jiang Lang Kun quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marvin Harrer, made in the 12th minute of the game. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Galishoff in the 13th minute of play. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Sandro Galishoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korneliusz Barna was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Austria booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Barna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonhard Maier struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Flavio Peter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. Flavio Peter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marvin Harrer went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Fabio Schneider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Peter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ernest Pandele did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Fabio Auer 31 minutes into the match. Fabio Auer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Pandele in the 34th minute. Filip Negulici kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Rafael Riedl hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ernest Pandele scored 3-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Auer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Schneider came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fabio Schneider hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Austria defense, Jiang Lang Kun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. The Austria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Auer should have stopped the shot. Ernest Pandele hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Fabio Auer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Gotzon went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Fabio Auer came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernest Pandele. But to his dismay, Ernest Pandele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Ernest Pandele put it in 7-3 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Auer. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Leonhard Maier hit a great ball. After 77 minutes of play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernest Pandele made it 8-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Auer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabio Auer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Pandele in the 81st minute of play. Fabio Auer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernest Pandele went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fabio Schneider hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Ignacio Gotzon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Auer. Austria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Gotzon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-3. After 87 minutes, Tiberiu Zgârcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti and the Austria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiberiu Zgârcu kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Ignacio Gotzon came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Gotzon couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Gotzon in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Austria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Batalionul U23 Dorobanti.
