The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Toledo made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Svensson in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ascaso saved Spain from getting behind. In the 56th minute Golden Lions FC were awarded a corner. Marcelo Steven went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 86th play minute Carles Cherro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anders Lundqvist. 2-6. Igor Dzierwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İbrahim Efe Topdemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Spain eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
