Igor Parzysz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 8 minutes in the game, Edgardo Gonzalez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. In the 11th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Parzysz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in San Roque FC's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Parzysz came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Parzysz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the San Roque FC defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Parzysz. The San Roque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Parzysz should have stopped the shot. Erik Hökqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Aurel Zelený could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by San Roque FC's Wiliam Peren. But to his dismay, Wiliam Peren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 40th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Parzysz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Parzysz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Peren made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, San Roque FC's goalkeeper Igor Parzysz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 54th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Parzysz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Egbert Nijveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Igor Parzysz quite easily take care of the ball. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Roque FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. In the 60th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. When Netherlands's Lars Meesters in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Roque FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 71st minute of play forced San Roque FC's goalkeeper Igor Parzysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Igor Parzysz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that San Roque FC's Igor Parzysz managed to reach the ball for a save. San Roque FC made a substitution. Gabriel Quintero replaced Edgardo Gonzalez. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Wiliam Peren managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Roque FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam Peren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Parzysz having to interfere. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
