The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 4th minute. Alirio Ducoing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alirio Ducoing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siebe Michiels, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Hernán Restat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Åkerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alirio Ducoing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Valentino Basulto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Casper Claes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. C.A. Peñarol's Berkan Berka was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alirio Ducoing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Brian Åkerberg succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Alirio Ducoing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 39th minute of play. Brian Åkerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alirio Ducoing saved C.A. Peñarol from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Åkerberg's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. With a little luck, C.A. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Alirio Ducoing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hao Xu Jun in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match Belgium got a corner. C.A. Peñarol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Belgium's Sander Dermaut to fire away a dangerous shot which Alirio Ducoing despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's Anselmo Velin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Velin in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Anselmo Velin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alirio Ducoing having to make a save. Edward Vanderstraeten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Alirio Ducoing when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edward Vanderstraeten in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alirio Ducoing, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 76th minute, Anselmo Velin made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 89 minutes, Anselmo Velin made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When C.A. Peñarol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Belgium had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
