Garibaldo Quijana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garibaldo Quijana. Garibaldo Quijana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Garibaldo Quijana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orti Sánchez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Arnout Reekers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Orti Sánchezs short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Garibaldo Quijana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fillos de Breogán's Yağızalp Ulaş got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Fillos de Breogán's Calisto Abril dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Orti Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garibaldo Quijana having to interfere. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fillos de Breogán's Lope Herrero. Orti Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Garibaldo Quijana firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garibaldo Quijana saved Fillos de Breogán from getting behind. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Fillos de Breogán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yağızalp Ulaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Orti Sánchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Garibaldo Quijana. Fillos de Breogán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Xabat Armada hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Lars Meesters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garibaldo Quijana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fillos de Breogán.
