The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristen Gulskov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristen Gulskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Ree blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Ascaso having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Ree came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omar Toledo in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristen Gulskov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Omar Toledo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kristen Gulskov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spain. In the 45th minute, Omar Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albinus Alking scored 1-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ascaso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 56th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Kristen Gulskov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monks in Robes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Adria Bielsa scored to the left of an out of position Kristen Gulskov, making the score, 1-2. Kristen Gulskov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Toledo in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Monks in Robes's Albinus Alking got a free kick in the 71st minute. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. The supporters of Spain booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. With a little luck, Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov got control of the ball when Vicente Merino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Monks in Robes from getting a goal against them. In the 95th play minute Carles Cherro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kristen Gulskov. 1-5. When the final whistle sounded Spain left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monks in Robes.
