In the 20th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Johnny Kopp. FC Talanglös's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Budzyn in the 24th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Kryspin Budzyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Herbert Mattsson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Talanglös was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Broberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FC Talanglös defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnny Kopp. The FC Talanglös fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnny Kopp should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kryspin Budzyn during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Kryspin Budzyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Budzyn in the 51st minute of play. Johnny Kopp made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that FC Talanglös's Johnny Kopp managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After some careless play in the FC Talanglös defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnny Kopp. The FC Talanglös fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnny Kopp should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Johnny Kopp however easily saved by the left post. Johnny Kopp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Johnny Kopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Kopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, FC Talanglös's Örjan Öman made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! The FC Talanglös fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
