Stefan Havel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. Bobek in the 8th minute of play. André Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Metod Mlynar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Paul. 17 minutes into the match, D.J. Bobek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that D.J. Bobek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Henrich Slany was a little too slow when Armando Paul got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. André Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Metod Mlynar in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Ingvar Bergvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of JoynickFC booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Suchy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vavrinec Koleno charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vavrinec Koleno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Metod Mlynar got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. André Sjöberg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Henrich Slany made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Paul in the 41st minute. Ingvar Bergvall kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Ove Lindström took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Henrich Slany to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Metod Mlynar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from D.J. Bobek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, D.J. Bobek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oliver Holub charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliver Holub the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oliver Holub hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute D.J. Bobek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Abrahamsson in the 65th minute of play. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from D.J. Bobek in the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, D.J. Bobek managed to get in a good position for a shot. JoynickFC's supporters rose to their feet, but D.J. Bobek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vavrinec Koleno kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Metod Mlynar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ove Lindström struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Henrich Slany didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JoynickFC. 78 minutes into the match, JoynickFC's D.J. Bobek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrich Slany narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Holub, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ove Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, JoynickFC's Armando Paul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrich Slany made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.
