In the 10th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Rodrigo-Nicolas De Paul got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 13th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Sérgio Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's Siro Betadur broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Batu Cem Albay sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, Rodrigo-Nicolas De Paul lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Tommy Kahn. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. When Sven Krakouer fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Sven Krakouer a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Carmelo Guillem kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Rodrigo-Nicolas De Paul took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Batu Cem Albay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Batu Cem Albay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Batu Cem Albay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute, Siro Betadur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72ndth minute of the game Rodrigo-Nicolas De Paul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sérgio Romero made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Siro Betadur struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. Americo Panfilo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Los Andes made a substitution. Gerardo Gaxan replaced Rodrigo-Nicolas De Paul. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Gaxan in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Batu Cem Albay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Batu Cem Albay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Manuel Gentza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Manuel Gentza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atletico Los Andes had played much better football throughout.
