The supporters of France booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Bredberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Otsoa in the 39th minute of play. A hard shot by Jimmie Vallengren from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Maxime Durand's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mauro Otsoa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 47th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 73rd minute, Remy Dupuy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Robert Chapuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Markus Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Polly Magoo Juniors.
