The throw-in from Teodor Huștiu in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Maci -MM-'s Martin Costeiantu. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Andrei Oloieru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Fotbal Club Vaslui from getting a goal against them. Traian Traian scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nae Tomoioagă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Traian Traian in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nae Tomoioagă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Andrei Oloieru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Cosmin Bocșan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. FC Maci -MM-'s Nae Tomoioagă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the FC Maci -MM- defense, Gil Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nae Tomoioagă. The FC Maci -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nae Tomoioagă should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Steffen Kerckmans got a free kick in the 26th minute. From a short distance, FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr, in the 27th minute, tried to place the ball behind Andrei Oloieru, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Andrei Oloieru stood somewhat misplaced when Sami Zübeyr came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 27 minute. FC Maci -MM-'s Nae Tomoioagă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Traian in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Bocșan came free, but Nae Tomoioagă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Miclauș in the 35th minute of the match. FC Maci -MM-'s Nae Tomoioagă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Traian in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute Gil Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Tomoioagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Traian Traian fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Traian Traian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Traian Traian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Miclauș in the 70th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Andrei Oloieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Czapski came free, but Andrei Oloieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Traian Traian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Tomoioagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Miclauș in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cosmin Bocșan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nae Tomoioagă was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Andrei Oloieru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sami Zübeyr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fotbal Club Vaslui supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fotbal Club Vaslui would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
