Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gust Ennemans to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antonio Fioriti received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonio Fioriti slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Fioriti came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ke Xiong Chen hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Miroslaw Piglowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Fioriti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Perpiñán having to interfere. With a little luck, Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Fioriti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wim Wilmes 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Álvaro Perpiñán made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Álvaro Perpiñán threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Gijsbert ter Kruimer this time. In the 77th minute Antonio Fioriti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
