The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 87th minute of the match Spain got a corner. PP Plessydask's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jon Cubero ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jon Cubero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan Abrahamsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jan Abrahamsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Ruiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Spain were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after PP Plessydask's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jon Cubero took the corner. The corner led Spain's Sergio Ruiz to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Abrahamsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
