The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sevigné Musguito's Emilio Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 7th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, France's Camille Baume made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 27th minute, Camille Baume ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Piarres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, Sevigné Musguito's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Emilio Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Tximitx got free with Maxime Durand in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Camille Baume hit a great ball. Maxime Durand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Tximitx in the 37th minute. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by France's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leon Lehen was slow to take the kick. During this time Sevigné Musguito's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Sevigné Musguito's Alonzo Pacifico got a free kick in the 40th minute. Emilio Piarres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Chapuis's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Remy Dupuy charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remy Dupuy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Remy Dupuy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sevigné Musguito's goalkeeper Emilio Piarres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half France were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Tximitx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxence Durand to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute, Carmelo Tximitx made a precise shot to the right of Maxime Durand. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Tximitx in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute of the game David Barbier made a throw-in which Frank Peletier played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Camille Baume managed to get in a good position for a shot. France's supporters rose to their feet, but Camille Baume was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Piarres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Peletier kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emilio Piarres. That made the score 1-8 in the 87 minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Robert Chapuis lined in a short shot 1-9 behind a frustrated Emilio Piarres.
