But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Tristezza couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Grandi Lupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Salgó to maneuver through the defense. Knut Olsson had several of the Grandi Lupi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Alfonz Kállai as he didn't even see the shot coming. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Tristezza to make the kick off. A very good chance. Mito Troyanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis-Philippe Damman in the 85th minute of the match. Mito Troyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pippin Aguilera in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Pippin Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mito Troyanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louis-Philippe Damman got free with Mito Troyanov in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grandi Lupi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
