After 8 minutes, Jedrzej Debowy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abandon All Hope and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jedrzej Debowy hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abandon All Hope's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gustaaf Groeneveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Abandon All Hope's Davi Silva did a great save. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Davi Silva. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Davi Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Silva having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Kryspin Robak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 33rd minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Davi Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davi Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Kryspin Robak sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Davi Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Abandon All Hope's Kryspin Robak in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Klement Pachucki hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Davi Silva made a huge save. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Davi Silva got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gustaaf Groeneveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Davi Silva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wim Wilmes came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Davi Silva could save by the left post. Gwidon Cwojdak scored 3-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davi Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
