Bruno Antognoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Toledo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Antognoni saved San Felice a Ema U.L. from getting behind. The supporters of San Felice a Ema U.L. booed when Spain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Sartori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Gustavo Gomes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Ascaso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Cubero in the 28th minute of play forced San Felice a Ema U.L.'s goalkeeper Bruno Antognoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Patrick Donnellson made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. Spain's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 32 minutes into the game, David Aranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hansen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Ascaso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s Bruno Antognoni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save San Felice a Ema U.L. from getting a goal against them.
