In the 6th minute, Radowit Murdza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Kürşat Serimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Collin in the 14th minute of play. ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR's Ali Kürşat Serimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Collin in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Stefan Collin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ali Kürşat Serimer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Bror Skoog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Kürşat Serimer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 25 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Tolsson. Fahri Kiram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Ahlroht having to interfere. Stefan Collin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Michael Bergstedt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ali Kürşat Serimer. ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Birger Engström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AIF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR the free kick.

The wind increased when Radowit Murdza made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Alparslan Pektay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR and the AIF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AIF booed when ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alparslan Pektay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Kürşat Serimer was a little too slow when Bror Skoog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-3. A hard shot by Karl-Michael Bergstedt from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Ali Kürşat Serimer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Skoog in the 66th minute of play forced ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR's goalkeeper Ali Kürşat Serimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Collin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ali Kürşat Serimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Alströmer. Ali Kürşat Serimer was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Bror Skoog capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bror Skoog really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the final whistle sounded AIF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ZONGULDAKKÖMÜRSPOR.
