In the 2nd match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. When Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Arnaldo Coutinho in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mestre GG's goalie prevented a goal. Mestre GG were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fiori Campidelis took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Dé Paiva managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Fiori Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Reynaldo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento got control of the ball when Romário Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliézer Leão hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Chicão Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mestre GG the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Chicão Matos got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Chiquinho Sergipano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charles Sarmento, 1-0. If Chiquinho Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Paraibano in the 34th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Róbson Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Arnaldo Coutinho hit a great ball. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Arnaldo Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Daniel Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Alcântara to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Daniel Alcântara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raúl de Amaral. That made the score 1-2 after 52 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Arnaldo Coutinho got a free kick in the 70th minute. Nilson Paraibano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 74 minutes into the game, Daniel Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Raúl de Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Campidelis came free, but Charles Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 80 in the game by Nilson Paraibano from a close distance when the talented Raúl de Amaral managed to make a qualified save. Mestre GG's players were relieved. Raúl de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Róbson Prata went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Mestre GG's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nilson Paraibano 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Campidelis in the 91st minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Charles Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rondinone F.C - FDFDF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rondinone F.C - FDFDF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
