In the 6th minute, Martin Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Rencio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Palermo in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Rencio saved Kakeros FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Martin Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Rencio was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Montez. Faustino Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Potente, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kakeros FC's goalkeeper Faustino Rencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Resto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gerardo Matai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kakeros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Matai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Sánchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Palermo made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Valentin Barco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magic is Back's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kakeros FC the free kick. 50 minutes into the game, one of Magic is Back:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Magic is Back's Cristian Medina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marcelo Resto, made in the 58th minute of the game. Faustino Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Palermo in the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Kakeros FC's Jorge Montez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Sánchez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 66 minutes Magic is Back's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damian Bittor who took care of the corner kick. In the 96th match minute, Kakeros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Magic is Back left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kakeros FC.
