The Campeones del Mundo fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Campeones del Mundo's Fulgencio Ferrer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 25 minutes of play, Campeones del Mundo's Fulgencio Ferrer made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Campeones del Mundo's Guillermo Gorosti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Khalid Kennedy. That made the score 4-1 after 43 minutes of play. 47 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Ferrer came free, but Khalid Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Micah Macdonalds short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Daniel Igon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Ferrer in the 78th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes England's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Gorosti who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Campeones del Mundo's Ladislao Fraco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Guillermo Gorosti scored 5-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Khalid Kennedy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kyle Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Igon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fulgencio Ferrer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Khalid Kennedy was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Lindo Trollo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Campeones del Mundo were victorious despite being under pressure from England for much of the match.
